Tray Taylor Troy Football

Paresh rawal movies. Paresh rawal returns as babu bhaiya to hera pheri 3 with a warning: don

I've been going down to the local oval on Saturday arvos for as long as I can remember, but this season genuinely felt different. Three blokes — Tray, Taylor and Troy — turned what used to be a fairly forgettable suburban footy side into something the whole town got behind. I'm not exaggerating when I say you couldn't grab a snag at the canteen without hearing someone carry on about one of them. It's been an absolute ride, and I wanted to put down a few thoughts before the off-season makes me forget how good it actually felt.

How a Bollywood Legend Became Our Footy Group Chat's Unlikely Star

You know how every footy club has that one group chat that never sleeps? Ours discovered Hera Pheri somewhere around round six, and now Babu Bhaiya memes are basically our club's unofficial language. Whenever Tray pulled off one of his ridiculous one-handed grabs, someone would whack a Baburao meme in the chat within minutes. Whenever Taylor shanked a kick out on the full from twenty metres out, yep — another meme. It sounds silly, but honestly, that daft shared humour is half the reason the three of them clicked as a unit on the field. You can't help but play harder for blokes you laugh with.

The Banter That Carried Us Through the Finals Push

By the time finals rolled around, the whole town had caught the bug. Troy, our quietly gun full-forward, copped the most stick — mostly because he's the only one who never checks the group chat, so we could say whatever we liked. The Baburao dialogues became our bleachers' soundtrack; old timers who had no idea what the film even was were quoting them by the semi-final. That's the thing about local footy, mate — it's never really just about the footy. It's the beaches of bad jokes, the questionable sausage sizzle onions, and the mates who show up every single week. Tray, Taylor and Troy gave us a season to remember, and I reckon we'll be banging on about it at the club rooms for years to come. Can't wait for next year, honestly.
